Nicola and John. Nicola wore a beautiful A-line coat with integral train, in italian silk zibilene with marabou trim, teaming it with a simpe floor length Princess line dress. A comment from a guest outside Church ” It’s not often you see a Wedding dress fitted so well” and from Nicola “It was perfect - everything I had wished for. I could have been more pleased.” On seeing some additonal photos I had taken of teh coat and glorious train, she said, “oh- I want to do it all again”, to horrified looks from her husband!
Karen & Huw. As a Goth, Karen chose black-red silk for her full length skirt with black silk tulle apron wrap and streamers temed with a matching corset with tulle edge trim. Comments from the staff (male as well as female) at the Hotel: “She looks wonderful. It’s not often we see such a stunning dress - it’s really outstanding.”
Caroline had a Christmas wedding, and wore gold silk brocade and cream dupion with a fur wrap and muff. Caoline’s Mum had been to her first fittings and left sayin: “It’s nice to know she’s in really good hands”. Mum next saw the dress on the day. her comment to me as Caroline walked to Church was: “You have made such good job - she looks wonderful”.
Emma and Sami. Emma wore a silk Duchess satin skirt trimmed with a choclate bow and a lace long sleeved covered bodice: ” Just wanted to say a big thank you for my oh so beautiful wedding dress. I was so nervous about what I was going to wear for my big day and what was going to suit me but you put me straight at ease and following on from our first meeting I was elated that you were going to make me the dress of my dreams. I looked forward to every visit and watching the dress come together. I really miss those visits! On the day it was perfect and my husband loved it. Thank you so so much. I just want to go and do it all over again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
Rebecca (wearing 45metres of silk duchess satin, tulle and lace) , as she tried on the finished dress and looked in the mirror “You’ve done a really good job there, Hilary”.
Deborah (oyster silk skirt and corset with royal blue trimming and beads) and Tony: “A perfect dress for a perfect day. Everyone kept asking “Where did you get that dress?” and I kept answering - The lady over there made it” .
Liz and Mark married in Central Park, New York. liz’s comment the week before the wedding: “If I had to chose between the boyfriend and the frock, it would be the frock - I just love my dress”, and from Liz’s Mum: “You couldn’t have chosen anyone better to make you dress” .
Kina wore a red silk skirt and corset with an ivory fur wrap; comment from new husband Andrew: “It looks sensational”
Noel & Helen in a Velvet Celtic style in wine & gold: “We still remember how good you were to fit us in after out original dressmakers let us down with 3 months to go. We definitely feel it was a blessing in disguise, as we had a much more professional service from yourself.”
Mother of the Groom Sandra in a light buff style blouse and chocolate trousers: “The outfit you made was commented on and much admired, and soooo comfortable to wear.”
Mother of the Bride Ailsa in a knee length peach silk dress with hand-beaded oriental coller and matching changeant chiffon coat: “As I walked up the ailse, the coat floated behind me - I could hear the “oooos” behind me. My [twin] sister said she liked the dress and the beading, but she didn’t like the coat - so I knew she really loved it!”
Ashling in a black and emerald corset and skirt for her 30th party: “All my friends wanted to know where I got the dress - I wouldn’t tell them because I wanted to keep you all to myself.”
Vicky in an ivory and gold chiffon medieval style Wedding Dress with hand crafted braid work: “The dress was all I could have wished for. Thank you especially for the Celtic braid design.”
An unprompted comment from awestruck groomsmen as Fiona arrived at Church in a 3 piece Bridal ensemble with handcrafted lace jacket and matching made to measure veil: “Fiona looks stunning”. They were rooted to the spot in admiration.
From Susi who married in a Chinese red 2 piece: “No one will ever have a Wedding dress like mine - I’m so glad I found you.”
Roisin at her first ball in glistening gold frilled gown with asymmetric red beaded applique: “All comments were STUNNING!”
Julie married in Cyprus in palest pink with glittering hand beaded neckline: “Adam thought I looked gorgeous.”
Mother and sister of the Bride Jo & Louise (Lilac siilk 3 piece and lipstick pink 2 peice): ” You were a Godsend - thank for making us feel so special.”
