Made to Measure Wedding DressesEach gown is designed individually with each Bride. From the initial sketch the design is developed to a personal pattern block, and from there a toile or mock-up of the dress is made up in calico or similar fabric. Once the style and fit are established the fabric is cut and hand crafted to the highest standards; fitting ensures a perfectly sculpted Wedding dress and high quality hand finishing results in a superb Bridal Gown. Designer DressmakerHilary jane is a City and Guilds qualified designer and dressmaker of couture bespoke gown, corsets and occasion wear. Her City and Guilds Corsetry submission has been put forward for a City and Guilds medal of Excellence. At each consultation the design and fabric are worked with the utmost care towards a perfect result: style, fit, and the finest hand finish. Bridal Corsets Bridal CapesHilary Jane has trained in the detailed techniques of traditional corset making; a corset to wear as a sound foundation garment for a fully boned bodice or to cover in silk, brocade or embroidery– perfectly structured and perfectly comfortable - to create a classic hour glass figure - a silhouette to die for. Bridal Capes are another specialist area where Hilary Jane applies her craftsmanship and expertise to create the ultimate finishing touch to the Bridal ensemble. Bridal capes and Bridal coats are made to measure in a wealth of fabrics – organzas, chiffon, georgette, velvet. Hilary Jane designs and makes all capes to order, each one designed and made to measure as part of the overall Wedding ensemble. WaspiesFor a stunning figure Hilary Jane creates the ultimate designer waspie - wear as a foundation waist clincher under your Bridal gown or evening dress. As outer wear the waspie has endless possibilities - covered in chiffon for a floaty summer evening ball, in butterfly jacquard with fine white cotton or silk for prom wear, or why not try a Linton tweed waspie with this Autumn's designer suit? Bridesmaids & Wedding AccessoriesTo compliment the Bridal gown service, Hilary Jane is able to offer made to measure Bridesmaids, and accessories (waistcoats, cravats, veils, bags) are fully co-ordinated to your colour and fabric scheme. Mother of the Bride, Evening Wear and Prom DressesHilary Jane takes special pride in her service to the Mother of the Bride and Groom, with combined day /evening ensembles carefully colour co-ordinated in 100% silk fabrics, delicately embellished with matching beading and embroidery and, of course, lovingly designed and constructed to the same high standard as the Bride. For evening and prom wear Hilary Jane creates eye catching but stylish dresses: well cut, well fitted but just that little bit different from the rest. Hand FinishingHilary Jane specialises in delicate bead work and embroidery. As with all her made to measure gowns and dresses, Hilary Jane designs each commission with and for each client individually; all stitching is beautifully worked by hand and the design co-ordinated to the theme of the day and it colours.
