Designs are limited only by your imagination – Hilary Jane works your ideas and theme into a design which will flatter your figure, and suit your style - from Chapel to Castle, from ballroom to beach; in traditional ivory or white through blue, lilac or gold to red and black; whether Gothic or medieval, classic or contemporary.

A two piece design in American spun silk with shoestring straps and organza stole trimmed in silk and hand beaded to match the bodice.

No Hilary Jane gown is available off the peg or via mail order, so your gown is guaranteed to be unique. Throughout the design and crafting process Hilary Jane invites your input to create a truly personalised Wedding Gown styled to flatter your figure and co-ordinate with your special day.

Made to Measure Wedding Dresses

As all Wedding gowns are personally designed and made to order by Hilary Jane, clients are asked to allow for about 6 fittings (measurement, toile 1 and 2, fabric fitting 1 & 2, and final consultation and delivery). The process will usually begin 3 or 4 months before your Wedding Day for delivery of your Bridal Gown 2-4 weeks before the date.

Hand finishing

Hilary Jane revels in and enjoys researching and creating each and every commission. Her goal is to achieve a brand new creation for each and every Bride. Every detail of each Wedding dress is hand finished to the highest standards, a quality to be envied.

Handcrafted from the finest silks and fabrics, incorporating details from rouleaus to bespoke embroidery and appliqué, each Hilary Jane creation is a masterpiece of fine workmanship and quality.

From the first consultation the philosophy at Hilary Jane is to discuss in depth and understand in detail every aspect of the requirement for your Wedding Gown, inputting a wealth of advice and information based on over 30 years experience in couture dressmaking.

Recent Wedding Dresses

Recent Bridal commissions include pale blue silk chiffon over satin trimmed with a scatter of self fabric silk leaves; a medieval style Wedding Dress in gold silk chiffon embellished with a bespoke design of Celtic braid and bead work in gold and ruby; and a classic design in ivory silk dupion with a hand embroidered train echoing the lace design of the bodice fabric.

Each gown is brought alive by its detail work: whether plain but beautifully stitched silk fabric, pre-embroidered fabric, hand-worked bespoke beading or embroidery, appliqué, braid work, or machine embroidered motifs the result is magnificent.
