Hilary Jane has trained in the detailed techniques of traditional corset making; a corset to wear as a sound foundation garment for a fully boned bodice or to cover in silk, brocade or embroidery– perfectly structured and perfectly comfortable - to create a classic hour glass figure - a silhouette to die for.

Made to Measure Wedding Dresses

Each gown is designed individually with each Bride. From the initial sketch the design is developed to a personal pattern block, and from there a toile or mock-up of the dress is made up in calico or similar fabric. Once the style and fit are established the fabric is cut and hand crafted to the highest standards; fitting ensures a perfectly sculpted Wedding dress and quality hand finishing results in a superb Bridal Gown.

Clever cut & styling ensure all Hilary Jane designs flatter and accentuate the female figure. At each consultation the design is worked and the fabric tailored with the utmost care towards a perfect result: style, fit, and the finest hand finish.

A high level of detail is an inherent part of every Hilary Jane design. Even a design with simple lines with no decoration is lovingly hand stitched and constructed with care in every last detail – from boned bodice to couture hem.

As a professional designer dressmaker Hilary Jane is able to offer made to measure accessories (Bridal Capes, ponchos and boleros, waistcoats, cravats, veils, garters and bags) which are fully co-ordinated to your colour and fabric scheme.

Hilary Jane works in a wide range of silk fabrics supplied by the UK's top silk wholesalers. Her bespoke designer Wedding dresses are created from: dupion, chiffon, changeant chiffon, georgette, organza, tulle, brocades, satin back crepe, duchess satin, morocain, zibilene, embroidered silks, and many more sumptuous silk qualities.

Detail Work Embroidery Beading Applique

Hilary Jane specialises in delicate bead work, embroidery and appliqué. Her bespoke creations are, as always, designed with the client, beautifully worked by hand and co-ordinated to the theme of the day and it colours.
